Seminars & special events

All seminars are free of charge and are held on Saturday mornings at 10 am unless otherwise specified. Hands-on workshops are held periodically; a fee is charged for these since you’ll be taking the finished product home with you. To reserve your space in a workshop, call 636-7662.

Saturday, February 11—Introduction to Vertical Hydroponic Growing. Kevin and Theresa will give a basic overview of the Verti-Gro hydroponic system, the one that we just installed at The Farm at Rockledge Gardens. Smaller systems are also available for home vegetable gardens. Find out how to produce a healthy abundance of naturally grown food in a very small space. It’s fun and easy!

Saturday, February 11—Little Bugs Club. Our kids gardening club for children ages 4 to 12. Each session includes an educational aspect and a garden-related project. $5 fee covers all material. Please call to reserve your child’s space at one of two sessions: 10 am or 1 pm. 636-7662.

Saturday, Febuary 18—Earthbox Demonstration. Our Earthbox representative will be here to show how easy and productive it is to grow vegetables in these self-watering, compact systems.

Saturday, February 25—Orchids. Charlie from Chapman’s Orchids will be back to share his knowledge on orchid care.
